West Virginia is the most mountainous place I've ever been. When we turned right out of the church parking lot, we immediately went straight up a mountain for 4 miles. When we reached the top and saw an 8% grade downhill sign, we soon learned we were only climbing higher. Eventually we were in the clouds, and speeding down through the most in freezing conditions. The second half of the ride was more rolling hills, which were openly welcomed after such huge mountains for days.
Today was challenging, but it was the perfect amount of challenge to convince me that I wasn't a baby for trading van days yesterday. My knee is currently packed in ice and two of our genius riders have been helping me stretch my leg so that it won't die this badly anymore.
Tonight's host had basketballs, volleyballs, and a delicious pasta dinner. We're all enjoying some downtime and playtime while laundry gets done and while we wait to hear our first AH presentations. Woot!
