Bloomington to Terre Haute

Huge lesson in pride as I crutched it up on van duty today. Ran some important errands, found a shady lunch spot, watched the fellas play "Wild Wild West" in the abandoned town we stopped in.
A bunch of the riders stopped off at yard sales throughout the day and rode into lunch wearing some weird stuff.

Was joined by Borch in the van after lunch and ran more much needed errands. While van is never my favorite place, we have a pretty cool trailer that makes me laugh whenever I check rear view mirrors:
His name is Bruce.

Some folks checked out a lake/rope swing but the day was short lived as we had to be at the host by 4. Taco bar provided by super friendly church ladies. Fun rounds of Jenga and other games. Viewing of an old cycling movie that took place in Bloomington. Additionally, I got to do paperwork stuff tonight (if you know me well, you know nothing gets me excited like some good self explanatory paperwork).

Currently going to bed far too late because I stayed up talking about life, leadership, and the woes of being crutch bound. I'm hoping to pedal around a mile tomorrow when we get to host, and possibly ride a half day on Tuesday. Talked to a PT who said I could probs cycle before I start walking again (woot). Yay for low impact sports and (hopefully) flat terrain. Luckily, there are a few folks here who rock and can pull me out of my pity parties- including one who is wriggling around in their sleeping bag now to make me laugh. I must look too pensive.

I'll leave you tonight with my favorite lie I've been telling the riders at every stop:
"It's okay, I think it's all downhill from here."
